Sideline Synergy is a startup business located in Detroit, Michigan. It is a multifaceted company focused on supporting the community from the sidelines and behind the scenes. Sideline Synergy is providing economic stimulation in the Metro Detroit Area through education and hospitality services as a means of community development. Sideline Synergy provides services such as sport consulting for aspiring athletes and sports professionals, residential rentals, and community development programs for athletic development on and off the field. The business was created to assist in fostering growth in the communities in and around Detroit connecting them with athletics.
Courtney Funchess has worked in a variety of capacities including marketing and event operations, public and media relations, sponsorship, and collegiate and professional athletics spanning over the past 13 years. Her most recent accomplishment is becoming an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor (NFL agent) in 2021 and she represents a few current free agents. Her passion is educating her clients on the process and ensuring they are prepared for when it comes time to retire and explore their second career options. Understanding the lack of education on becoming a professional athlete on the business side for amateur athletes, she founded Sideline Synergy to fill that void within the metro Detroit community.
